The town of Friendsville is a real place in Maryland. My husband grew up near there.
Celia was the name of son’s first teacher.
I wrote this book in a month.
The idea for the book came to me in a dream while I was pregnant.
Celia was based on stories a family member told about her own aunt.
The Bed and Breakfast was based on a real house I found on real estate website. The outside was perfect but the inside had crazy decor.
Cover model is a friend from elementary school who posted the photo of herself on Facebook while I was writing the book and I thought it would be perfect for the cover. I contacted her six months later.
I am a huge fan of superhero movies especially the Marvel universe.
My own son was the test tester for Hollys B & B test kitchen.
Red roses are my mother’s favorite flower and made me think of Holly and Celia.
