I am not one to post reviews, but seeing 1 star for that book is just wrong. Just know it is brutal and the mind control aspect is really strong. If you are into that, you will have a blast. If it is too much for you, then you better stay away.

I feel like Carmen Evergreen really needs an editor. The characters in this story didn’t really feel like they were talking like real humans, and seemed to act almost randomly. Also, the son talking about “the vagina that shat him into the world” is categorically NOT a turn-on. I appreciate that this is a non-con story, but mentioning “the sounds of ripping flesh” during the scene of the father taking his daughter’s virginity is, again, a turnoff. I feel like there wasn’t enough time spent justifying why the father suddenly spun on a dime to wanting to violate his daughter. Also the story ends on a teasing note, but it’s an unsatisfying one. I feel like there were a lot more dynamics that could have been explored but weren’t. This is a shame, because this is a crazy good cover picture, but the story is honestly kind of rubbish.
