This story is filled with dichotomy. The woman, Missy, recovering from a failed marriage, wants nothing to do with men ever again. She forces herself to be totally indifferent to her new acquaintance, Alex, and begins to dominate and punish him to take out her frustrations. However, this causes the submissive side of Alex to be even more attracted to Missy and, over time, causes Missy to form a very reluctant attraction toward Alex. Along the way, Missy’s attempts at preventing any closeness from forming results in some great slapstick comedy. A life adventure mixed with love, sex, and BDSM. It’s hard to tell if the story is fiction or autobiographical, maybe a little of both?
