“First,” he commanded, “you’re going to stay perfectly still. No matter what I do or how badly you want to move, you will stay exactly where you are.”

I nodded, “I understand,” I whispered.

“Good,” he said, his voice approving. “Very good.”

And then he was moving again, the rustle of fabric and the soft sounds of his footsteps filling the silence. I strained to hear, anticipating his next move, but it was impossible. The blindfold cut off my sight, leaving me helpless and dependent on my other senses.

“Ready?” he asked his voice beside my ear again.

“Yes,” I breathed, my body trembling with anticipation.

“Good,” his voice dark and dangerous. “Because this is where things get… interesting.”
