Beautiful March (The Cardwell Family, book 1)
$4.99
Getting dumped sucks. Getting dumped by your boyfriend days before your best friend’s wedding? It doesn’t get much worse.
Did I mention that the guy who cut me loose was country music’s number one rising star?
And my client.
I thought I was walking into a proposal. Instead, I crashed right into humiliation—dumped and fired.
The silver lining? In a restaurant, there’s plenty of wine to drown my feelings.
In strolls Tyler Nichols, the restaurant owner. He’s charming, handsome and does a good job of trying to make me feel better. A really good job. Sharing my heartbreak with a beautiful stranger is the last thing that I expected.
Turns out, Tyler Nichols is my ex’s best friend. And according to the local gossips—mainly my cousin—he’s got a mysterious past.
No worries, I’m the gal with everything going for her—great job, fabulous apartment and a glamorous life half way across the country in sunny Los Angeles—far away from my hometown and my family’s bourbon empire. I’ll be leaving after the weekend wedding festivities.
That is until my best friend, Sage, finds herself in a jam and needs my help before jetting off on her honeymoon.
So, I’m staying in Mayfield a little longer than anticipated. In just a few short weeks, I’ll march my happy ass back to the West Coast, far away from Tyler’s smoldering gaze and his panty-melting smile. And the chemistry between us that burns hotter than a hickory stump.
But the longer I’m in town, the harder it is to stay away from him. And maybe I don’t want to.

Beautiful March by Christy Pastore is a slow burn, contemporary, small-town romance told in first person, dual POV. It takes place in the fictional town of Mayfield, Kentucky and follows the relationship between prominent local businessman and restaurateur, Tyler Nichols, and L.A. publicist and bourbon heiress, Haven Cardwell.
Haven first meets Tyler at his restaurant after she gets dumped by her boyfriend/client. He ends up joining her for dinner and they hit it off with immediate chemistry. Haven grew up in the area and is back in town for a close friend’s wedding. Due to bad history, she can’t wait to go back home to L.A. but agrees to house sit for the bride for a few weeks while she’s away on her honeymoon.
Tyler and Haven begin spending time together and find they have much in common. Both are adopted and have overcome difficult pasts, but Tyler’s past contains a dark secret he’d prefer to keep concealed. Haven and Tyler form a strong bond and feelings for each other quickly develop.
Can their budding relationship survive the impending expiration date and long distance? Will small-town rumors and gossip get in the way? And what will happen if Tyler’s secret is exposed?
I loved Haven and Tyler. They were both smart, strong, kindhearted characters who had experienced deep pain. Their story explored trust, vulnerability, and the choice to turn negative experiences into something positive. It was a beautiful, emotional, and heartwarming tale. I really loved it!

“Small Town Romance with Heat and Heart”
Back in her hometown for her best friend’s wedding, Haven is spectacularly dumped by her country music star boyfriend/client. Restaurant owner, Tyler Nichols, is said country star’s friend, and there to pick up the pieces of her hurt and embarrassment. The two develop an easy friendship, but the underlying heat of attraction is hard to resist. Can a few weeks of steamy fun become something more–something life changing?
Beautiful March by Christy Pastore is a standalone, small town romance with so much heat and heart it will have you swooning. Haven and Tyler’s story is an emotional one, and the author deftly pulls the reader into their journey. I absolutely loved these characters, and the small town quirkiness. Fans of emotional, friends-to-lovers romance will love this heartfelt story.
