Excerpt:

The small plane touched down lightly as I peered out the window and saw nothing but farmland. A far cry from my home airport of Los Angeles.

Even the main airport in Lincoln was bigger than this. Although not by much. I sit back in my seat, fold my arms over my chest and pout, even though no one can see me pouting.

I’m mad at my dad for making me come to this wasteland to spend the summer with his best friend Mark to teach me “the value of hard work” and “how to become a proper lady” as he likes to say.

Ugh. While the rest of my college friends get to party it up this summer, I’ll be doing who knows what on a farm. Mark is a wheat farmer.

And a conservative, uptight kind of guy who doesn’t drink or cuss and goes to church every Sunday. Whoopee. Can’t wait to get there.

His one redeeming quality is he’s hot. Like ultra-hot. And even though he’s so strait-laced, it makes me nauseous, I’ve had an all-consuming crush on him for as long as I’ve known him.

I’ve never admitted it to anyone because they would just laugh at me. Not only is he my dad’s age, he’s a goody two-shoes which is most definitely not my type.

I don’t know what it is about him, but my panties are getting wet just thinking about him. If he weren’t such a proper person, I might at least have hopes of cashing in my v-card this summer, I mean at least it would be a fun way to pass the time on the farm, but I’m sure he doesn’t even believe in sex before marriage.

The plane pulls up near the small terminal and I see Mark standing outside wearing his cowboy hat, a t-shirt and jeans. Even though I roll my eyes at this – of course he’s wearing a cowboy hat – I see his muscled thighs filling out his jeans and his well-defined chest and abs inside his t-shirt and my core tingles. I sigh loudly. This summer will suck.
