When he mentions this will be the last time with him, a pang of sadness in my chest makes me stop moving. On instinct, I lean my head against his shoulder, tracing circles on his bare chest and playing with his salt and pepper hair. Even though it feels so good to be in his arms, tears form in my eyes. I’m so torn inside; I want to stay, but I know I have to leave.

He sighs and wraps his arms around me. “I don’t like the thought either.”
