My father texted me today and said he’s taking me on a nature walk when he gets home from work. We’ve never gone on a nature hike before, but the end of summer is coming up and I’ll be back to college so now is the perfect time. I dance around the house, full of excitement, until he gets home. As soon as he walks in the door, he goes to my room and chooses an outfit for me. He lays out my red plaid skirt, white button-down shirt, frilly socks and white tennis shoes…. and no panties.

I eye the outfit suspiciously. “What sort of walk are we going on?”

He laughs. “You’ll love it. I promise.”
