    I have loved this series right from the beginning and let me tell you I am kicking myself for not really going in order when reading these because I know there are stories that I missed and having read what I have makes me want those even more.

    I think Gavin and Evan’s story may be the most tragic of all of the couples thus far in this series (only maybe rivaling Grace but alas, as one of the stories I have not read I can’t 100% make that judgement.) Evan can’t get over Gavin not loving him and watching all of his friends get the love that they have been chasing after so he decides to go back to Missouri and his mother, a woman who from day 1 has wanted nothing to do with him and let me tell you, going back there may have been the biggest mistake of his life. But he certainly isn’t going to admit that. Unfortunately for him, his pride may be his undoing? Will he be able to survive and make it back to Gavin in one piece or will he pay the ultimate price for his unrequited love?

    I love how Gavin comes around in this book and begins to accept and acknowledge his feelings for Evan, despite the fact that it took something horrific for him to realize those feelings. I really enjoyed the arc he had with Madhavi throughout the story. There were moments I really thought he was going to do something that would prevent him and Evan from even being invited to the island, so it was really nice to see him come around in that sense. I also really liked the possessiveness of Gavin over Evan near the end of Evan’s hospital stay. It was really fun to see just how Evan handled that sudden change in Gavin and his attempts to keep Gavin from doing anything rash. Plus, I think it opened the door for some other characters to make appearances later on. I think their experience and relationship is something so unique and different to the Youlle books and certainly opens the door to many more possibilities- plus I get the feeling that there may be more couples that could make it to the island outside of this one town, which certainly opens the door to many more stories (hopefully).

    If you are fan of taboo reads, Youlle Island is certainly a series that you should pick up and give a chance. They are all quick reads and certainly keep you entertained from start to finish.

    I can’t say enough good things about this series. But Gavin and even just touched my heart their story was so sweet with all they have endured. I love how Genevieve makes each story their own and no two stories are alike. I love that people from previous books make an appearance and just ties it all together.

    Wow!! This story started as an emotional rollercoaster for Evan and Gavin as well! Was excited when they were finally able to come together as a couple and he truly happy with each other. Finally, seeing more of the couples on the island itself was a definite bonus and so welcome!

    Can’t wait to find out more about Charles and his story, I’m definitely intrigued!

    I love love loved Gavin & Evan, this story had its tragic instances and the angst of not knowing if they would end up together, the taboo side of this was phenomenal with showing the inner battle for one of them! 100% recommend!

    So freaking good as always. This one featured Gavin and Evan. Evan wanted a future that he didn’t think was possible. He lived with his dad since he was 15. He left his mother’s home because he wasn’t being taken care of the way he should have been. When he didn’t see things going his was he went back to his mother’s house. A lot happened to him in that short amount of time. He ended up going back to Indiana. This is a must read series
