Harper’s Choice: A Dad’s Best Friend Story

I easily remember the way to Toby’s house. How could I forget? I loved coming here with my dad. I’ve been so busy with nursing school that it has been awhile but there’s no way I would forget it.

I have always fantasized about Toby even though there’s no way it could ever work. I realized today that my feelings for him are bigger than ever. When he let go of me at the festival, I felt so lonely. I wanted to retreat back to that safe feeling I had in his arms, but he obviously had to get back to work.

I talked to Sandy’s parents and she’s going to be fine. The hospital hydrated her, and the heat stroke wasn’t severe so doesn’t have any permanent damage.

They thanked me for acting so quickly but I still feel guilty I let it get as far as I did. She’s my dearest friend and if something had happened to her, I could never forgive myself.

I didn’t realize how exhausted I am until I got to Toby’s and sat down in front of the tv. Between the heat and the excitement, I’m wiped out. He said to take a shower and I decide that actually sounds pretty good.

I let the water heat up in the shower as I strip off my clothes and drop them to the floor. I step into the steamy shower and let the warm water pour over me and I sigh with relief. It feels so relaxing, but I can’t believe I’m in Toby’s house. Actually, I’m in Toby’s shower and naked.

I can’t stop thinking about how sexy he is, and I fantasize about him coming home unexpectedly, opening the shower door to find me in there naked. He watches the water stream down my body for a while before he strips off his own clothes.
