C.C. Spring has waited years to be ‘partnered’, to give her mother the gift of a new generation before her final breath. When a news bulletin announces a change to the procreation laws, C.C. loses her faith in a system she’s stood by since birth.

Toby Moon met C.C. once when they were young. He studied her throughout the years, the legend told by her late father something he could not let go. When he notices tampering with her compatibility numbers during the recent ‘partner screening’, making her ineligible, he sets out to prove his theory right.

When the truth behind hundreds of years of lies comes to light, C.C. and Toby devise a plan to not only save the people, but topple a government fueled by fear and greed. However, even with an army and the antidote locked and loaded, it won’t be easy administering it before the government retaliates. And then, no one would make it out alive.
