“Everybody, out, now,” he growled.

A shiver washed over me as I recognized his voice from my dream. Could this be… my Mate? I didn’t even notice everyone leaving. I walked over to him as if pulled by an invisible thread. He stood up, towering high above me that even with my heels I had to crane my neck to look at him.

The man was gorgeous, dressed in a well-tailored suit that hugged his muscular arms. He had brown hair swiped up in a casual style, neatly trimmed stubble covering his chin and cheeks that I just knew would feel heavenly on my skin, and piercing blue eyes that seemed to look right into my soul.

“Hello, little Mate,” he rumbled. “I dreamed about you last night.”

“I did too,” I whispered, suddenly feeling like my voice was too loud for the intimacy of this moment.

“What’s your name, gorgeous?” he asked as he lifted his hand to cup my cheek.

“Scarlett,” I said, and he caressed my bottom lip with his thumb.

“I’m Shane. Scream it when you come,” he said as he bent down and kissed me.
