Four months ago, my sister and I almost died. After surviving, I’ve been focused on living in the moment and making my firm successful. One night, my dad tells me he needs my help. He paid bail for a family friend in Nebraska and they need a lawyer for a murder case. Of course, I’ll do anything for my dad, so I leave right away. She fled Nebraska years ago promising to never come back but here she is, looking more beautiful than ever before. I told myself if I saw her again, I’d act like I never felt anything for her, but with her safety compromised because of this case, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe.
