I love this novel and was so angry at Ally’s mom before I remembered that none this was real!! I loved that Ally had good memories of her dad who was blown up in a war and nothing was left of him but his dog tags that he let her wear when he was home. Ally’s mom became an alcoholic when her dad died and she had to get away from her as it broke her heart. In New York, she worked hard to get a promotion but ended back at home where she never thought that she would see the man who broke her heart. I loved that as a child Jonah planned to marry Ally and asked her dad for approval, but growing up lies kept then apart, then a last minute favor to Jonah’s brother landed them in the same place. Would Fate be kind to give them another chance?
