Lord have mercy was this a mind fuck to read.. twists, turns, brainwashing. It’s intense as hell. This read will definitely take you on one hell of a ride. Hold on tight

  2. Sasha Klauza

I’d rather this book in no time. It was such a messed up, storyline very taboo, but the mindfuck that went along with it. So much heartbreak in one small book, but they at least got a somewhat happy ending.

  3. Claire

All I keep think right now, is that this was a lot! There was soo much packed into such a tiny book. The trauma, the level of taboo, the sweet love, the manipulation…the everything. I ate this book the fck up!

  4. Tammylewis0334

Dani Rose is becoming one of my favorites. This one was definitely dark and I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it or if it was too much for me. I am so glad I hung in there because it was absolutely amazing. For me these stories are so inspiring as they show you can get over some of the worse things and be somewhat okay. Definitely give this book a try if you like dark romance but read the triggers.

  5. Theresa Murray

Pretty Rotten Love throws you straight into a toxic, emotionally volatile romance and completely commits to the chaos. The story thrives on obsession and bad decisions, creating relationships that feel messy, addictive, and impossible to look away from. The chaos never lets up, and the emotional intensity gives the book a frantic, almost self-destructive energy that makes it hard to put down.

The book doesn’t try to sanitize the emotional damage or force easy redemption arcs, which gives the story a rawness that feels intentional rather than shocking for the sake of it. There’s also a twist that genuinely catches you off guard, adding even more chaos to a story that already feels like it’s spiraling in real time. For such a short novella, there’s a surprising amount happening, but it never feels overcrowded because the pacing moves so fast that every disaster lands exactly when it should.

    Holy moly!!
This book through you through twists and turns and for sure wasn’t expecting what happened in the end.

Absolutely loved this dark, twisted, and shocking book.

  8. Anice

Loved this crazy chaotic story filled with trauma, mind games and secrets.
Sasha has been manipulated, abused and lied to most of her life. It’s really confusing for her to know who is truly helping and who isn’t.
Her boyfriend Cameron did his best to try to help her. Aiden his brother is a saving grace and is so sweet, patient, gentle, caring and loving.
The plot twists keep me guessing. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen next. Surprise!!!.
The ending totally shocked me. And I am so happy Sasha is going to finally heal.
Thank you so much for this wonderful story Dani.
This is a must read. Please check TW before readin

  9. Alanna Jackson

For a short story there were so many twists and turns! It’s unpredictable, dark, and I loved it!

  10. darkromance1982

This story has a lot going on for it being under 50 pages.

Sasha has been abused for a very long time and not by who she thinks. Her boyfriend Cameron tries to save her and that goes horribly wrong.

I did like that Sasha gets the help that she needs for Aiden and makes friends with Lacy and Adam. Plus we get that extra twist at the end. Knowing what Walker was like it probably shouldn’t have been a surprise.

I received this book early and LOVED it! I DEVOURED it!!!! It’s a quick, dark, TABOO read!!! One of my fave tropes!! I feel so bad for Sasha..but she definitely finds her HEA! It definitely took a turn that I was not expecting. If you have any triggers, make sure to check them. Definitely recommend for all the dark taboos loving baddies!

Dani Rose is a dark taboo pen name for the dark romance author, Emily Klepp. She is creating stories that make you question your morals and wonder why you chose to read taboo at all. Keeping separate from her usual trauma healing stories, this is the place where her intrusive thoughts run wild.
