The Abducted Mate

Haydée is abducted from her bed without her glasses and dropped in the middle of an alien fighting arena. When she thinks her life is over, a gorgeous green, blue catlike alien claims her as his prize. He protects her, and when his crew rescues them, she wants to stay with him but also wants to go back home to her family in Paris.
Ira immediately recognizes the human woman as his long-awaited Mate. He protects her and wants to keep her safe forever. When their ship flies to Earth to reunite her with her family, he doesn’t want to let her go.
Will Haydée follow her heart, and stay with the alien or her head, and go back to the only city she has ever known?

“Hi,” I said, suddenly breathless.
“Hi,” Ira said.
“It is good to finally see all of you,” I said.
Ira nodded. “It is good to be able to speak to you. I feel like I have so much to say, but every time I look into your eyes, the words leave me.”
“Oh, then maybe you should close your eyes to talk to me,” I said, feeling a blush rise up.
I could clearly see the look in his eyes, as if he didn’t care for soup and only wanted me as his next meal. I remembered how his lips felt on mine, how he tasted, and I wanted to experience all of that again, and again until all I could feel was him.
“But I want to see you,” Ira said, stretching out his hand and gently caressing my reddened cheek. “All of you.”
“I want that too,” I said, but my growling stomach redirected the conversation.
