This set of three books made up a spooky, sexy (adult) Halloween treat for me. There were tricks involved, my yes, but they were oh-so-fun to read! This is a trilogy, but I will review each one separately.
The Little Sacrifice – Book 3: In the last book, Nari has been happily reunited with her demon (Bracht) and her werewolf (Arctos). But, as happy as their reunion is, after a while she notices their relationship has taken on a little tarnish. It seems nothing is right: they don’t pay enough attention to her; they pay too much attention to her. They bring her enough food; then they don’t. Her nest is so comfy; but then, it is suddenly the worst nest in the world! Her mood swings are driving even herself insane. And to top it off, she keeps feeling ill and nauseous! Finally, her Bracht and Arctos take her in their arms and give her the news: she is pregnant! Pregnant with their child. She is astounded! Unfortunately, Arctos also tells her a war may also be advancing on them. What will happen to this incredible family? 5 Stars!
Taken together as a trilogy, these three books are a very entertaining paranormal tale, just right for adult Halloween reading. It is chilling, a bit scary, very spicy, extra-steamy and quite provocative. It is a little dark—but not too dark. I can see myself re-reading this trilogy every year at this time. The author did a fantastic job with these three books!
