It’s Christmas and I’m back home—well at least what’s left of it. With my mom leaving my dad to be with another man, I decided to cancel all my holiday plans and help my dad pick up the pieces again. It’s what I always do when he can’t seem to find his way out of the crap he finds himself in. We head up to the mountains for the holidays to reconnect and spend time together, but with warning weather conditions, things take a turn for the worst—or maybe not the worst, when we get snowed into the cabin. With no cell signal, nowhere to go, enough firewood and food, and eggnog for a week, we let our guards down. There’s an undeniable attraction underneath the surface. I just don’t know if I’m brave enough to risk it all and take what I want.
