I smiled, loving the way his eyes reflected his inner turmoil. He wanted to mate me, but he held himself back because I had asked.

His breath smelled like smoky whiskey and pine needles. I opened my mouth to ask him again, as his mouth descended on mine. The kiss was everything I had ever dreamed of and at the same time, so much more. Sparks flew underneath my eyelids as I closed my eyes without thinking. His lips were warm and firm under mine. The kiss immediately turned heated as he used his tongue to grant access to my mouth. I moaned as I met his tongue with mine.
